A: The Xbox is a video game console much like your old Playstation

Q: What can I do beside play video games?
You can also watch DVD movies though a separate DVD kit is required
for the function. Another neat feature is the ability to burn music
and save it in your Xbox's hard drive. You can later listen to this
music in some games that have the support the feature like MotoGP.
Q: How does the Xbox compare?
A: The Xbox is more powerful than it's competition. It also features
the best package for online gaming.
Q: Who makes the Xbox's hardware?
A: Microsoft has gotten Intel & Nvidia to help manufacture the
Xbox's hardware.
Q: What kind of a CPU does the Xbox have?
A: The Xbox uses an Intel Pentium 3/Celeron II hybrid running at a
clock speed of 700MHz for it's main processor or the CPU.
Q: What kind of a video card does the Xbox have?
A: The Xbox's video card, or better known as the GPU (Graphics
Processing Unit) is powered by the X-Chip. This is basically a
tweaked version of the Geforce 3 graphics card.
Q: How many controllers can I hook up?
A: You can hook-up up to four game controllers, and you don't
need to buy any separate hardware for hooking-up four controllers.
Q: Does the Xbox have a front loading disc tray or one like my
PC?
A: Xbox's disc tray comes out when you press the eject button just
like your computers.
Q: Can I hook up my Xbox to my HDTV?
A: Yes, but a special HDTV cable for the Xbox is required. It should
be available where ever you buy your video games from.
Q: Can I surf the web?
A: No, the Xbox an entertainment device for watching movies and
gaming. If you want to surf the web, then go get yourself a
computer!
Q: What's needed for online play?
A: Xbox LIVE!, a subscription package from Microsoft is required for
online play. It retails at $50 and comes with a one year
subscription. The Xbox LIVE! starter kit includes the Xbox LIVE!
installation disc along with your one year subscription and a voice
communicator (headset) for communication during online play. Keep in
mind that a broadband connection (Cable Modem or DSL) is required to
take advantage of this. There is no narrowband support.
Q: Can I download stuff through Xbox LIVE?
A: Yes you can. You can download patches, levels, characters, or
whatever that the developers of the game make. This depends on the
game though. Not each and every game has downloads.
