Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds ships
Tuesday, September 9th, 2003

Get out the garlic and open the curtains, because the demons are demanding revenge! Vivendi Universal Games announced that Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds for the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system, the Xbox video game system from Microsoft and the Nintendo GameCube has shipped to retail stores nationwide for a suggested retail price of $49.99. Everyone's favorite blonde vampire slayer has returned to clean up Sunnydale's streets of baddies once again, but this time she's bringing her friends.

Based on the successful long-running television series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds, developed by Eurocom Entertainment Software and licensed by Fox Interactive, is a third-person fighting adventure game featuring the actual likenesses of Buffy the Vampire Slayer show cast members, as well as a number of cast member voiceovers. Developed as a 'lost episode' from season five of the television show, Chaos Bleeds centers around a dimensional bleed that has been enabled by Pure Evil to consume humanity once and for all. Players will be thrust into action as one of six characters from the TV show - Buffy, Faith, Willow, Spike, Xander and Sid the Dummy, each with their own unique set of abilities and powers. In addition to an engaging story-driven single player mode, players can also duke it out with up to three friends in four different multiplayer modes.

"We are thrilled to be able to provide fans of the series and newcomers alike a quality game that delivers a truly authentic Buffy experience," said Phil O'Neil, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Vivendi Universal Games. "Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds is the next-best thing to actually having a stake in hand on the streets of Sunnydale ... but much safer!"

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds is available now for PlayStation 2, Xbox and Nintendo GameCube for a suggested retail price of $49.99 with an ESRB "Teen" rating. For more information, please visit the game's official site at http://www.buffygame.com.
