Marvel Comic books on DVD
Tuesday, November 25th, 2003

Just in time for the holidays, Sock Puppet Studio and Intec Interactive are releasing an amazing assortment of Marvel Comic books on DVD. Now people the world over can enjoy their favorite heroes in Digital Comic Book format.

Sock Puppet Studio has taken extraordinary Marvel graphic novels and made them even better. Digitized panels are displayed onscreen, augmented with animation and special effects, professional voice acting, music and sound effects. The result is a unique entertainment medium all its own, stored on a handy DVD.

Each Digital Comic Book is composed of an entire Marvel graphic novel and contains more than 100 minutes of animation per DVD. Retailing between $9.99 and $13.99, the Digital Comic Books are almost half the cost of the original graphic novels. Plenty of extra material is packed in as well: trailers, character biographies, original artwork, a cover gallery, a "How comics are made" documentary, and bonus chapters (including classic first appearances from Marvel's early days).

"Marvel Comic books are extremely well suited to our Digital Comic Book medium", said Eric Nofsinger, president and Puppet Master of Sock Puppet Studios, "The combination of cool characters and high-energy action really springs to life on the TV screen."

Working with top-selling Marvel Comics' titles, Sock Puppet Studio's latest batch of 11 Comic Book DVDs are poised to be a hit this holiday season.

Created specifically to handle the Digital Comic Book Format, Sock Puppet Studio in conjunction with Intec Interactive has launched over 20 retail ready DVD titles since its inception earlier this year. The first batch of 10 DVD's, based on top-selling CrossGen Entertainment comics, has met with critical and popular acclaim, quickly climbing to the top of Electronic Boutique's best-seller list

Shipping on November 27th nationwide, the Marvel Comic Book DVDs are compatible with Playstation 2, Xbox, DVD players, Mac OSX and DVD ready PC’s.
