Game Info
Ninja Gaiden, sequel to the NES series and made by Team Ninja of Tecmo, is an action/adventure game, where you play the role of Ryu Hyabusa, a notorious assassin who seeks revenge after the massacre of his clan, and eventually recover the magic sword "Ryuken"

The game looks like it will be taking a 100% action approach, instead of the stealthy style of many other Ninja games, such as the Tenchu series. Ryu will use realistic and acrobatic Ninja battle techniques, using his Katana, and many other weapons, including throwing knives. These, as well as new skills, will be unlocked by performing well in a certain section of the game Depending on how you play, you may unlock different weapons. While stealth is by no means necessary, it could be rewarded in some cases. Xbox Live support has been confirmed, but little else has been announced about the online play, except that it will be like nothing gamers have ever experienced before.

Ninja Gaiden will feature incredible visual effects. Remember, this is Tecmo, developers of the Dead or Alive games we're talking about here, and they certainly know how to get the most out of the Xbox. Characters will be just as detailed as in Dead or Alive 3. Dynamic sound will also feature, the player will hear screams of pain and swords slicing through the air. Ninja Gaiden will be taking a mature approach to violence, with realistic blood and gore to allow the player to "experience" the kill.

Tecmo promises "Many challenging levels", pushing your Ninja skills to the limit in order to defeat your enemies from the Vigor Empire and avenge the death of your clan. Ninja Gaiden will be released some time around Christmas this year, and is looking like it could easily be one of the best games over Christmas.
