Trinity

Game Info
Activision is bringing a "one-man cybernetic wrecking crew" to the Xbox Video Game Console when it unleashes Trinity, an intense new first person shooter being developed by Vicarious Visions. The game will be nothing like any of the FPS titles currently out on the market. Not only will your character have a huge arsenal of weapons, but you will also have special abilities.

The setting of the game will evolve in the year 2013, Trinity puts gamers into a dark, shadowy future where a deadly plague threatens the city of New Orleans. Your goal will be to find the source of the deadly virus and save the whole city from the impending disaster. During the game, you'll communicate with the "Caretaker" through the "Caretaker interface". This is basically a special neurological communication device that resides in your character's brain. With that said, it's your mission to help New Orleans from total destruction.

As a "Nightstalker," gamers posses an awesome range of enhanced "neurological and bio-technical" abilities. This is similar to Dante from the Devil May Cry series on the PlayStation 2 Computer Entertainment System. These special abilities will enable the character to fight, jump and with uber fast skill and speed.

The game will feature "FlashTime" which further pumps the action by letting the player perform superhuman feats of acrobatics to evade enemies or kick some major butt. With this cool feature, you'll have the ability to literally slow down time while kicking your enemies butt similar to Dead to Rights. You can also perform all sorts of different maneuvers to avoid taking any damage. Using "Flashdash", you will be able to move at the speed of light to evade gunfire or surprise foes. Other abilities your character has include being able to jump farther and higher and even survive life-threatening falls. You will also be able to lift and move huge objects. Similar to "Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell," your character will have thermal and night vision modes.

Something that really sets this game apart from your ordinary first person shooter is that you can see through walls and warp around the map. As said above, the game will have loads of weapons. Arsenal will range from different pistals, machine guns, shot-guns and sniper rifles to grenade launchers. Trinity will also feature futuristic liquid nitrogen cannons and laser rifles.

The Nighwalker will be able to ride gunships, hack into restricted high-tech installations, man gun-turrets, and solve action puzzles. Other features in Trinity include explosive special effects, advanced AI, and breathtaking action power by an enhanced version of id Software's Quake III Team Arena game engine.

Set to unleash sometime next year in 2004, Trinity is another promising FPS title headed to the Xbox. Overall, you will definitely want to keep a close eye on this title. We will keep you updated on any more information that Activision releases so stay tuned!
