Destroy All Humans! Preview

Destroy All Humans!

Game Info
Aliens are coming! Humans are no longer on top of the food chain. Aliens are returning to earth to harvest the one good thing humans possess...their brains. The newest release from THQ created some great buzz at E3 in 2004 and now it's finally here.

The game is played from the point of view of a bloodthirsty alien on a mission to collect DNA from humans. That DNA is extracted forcibly through the skulls of his victims. Along the way new weapons and abilities become available. The alien weapons range from anal probes to disintigration rays. Armed with your trusty jet pack and psycokenetic powers not even the military can stop this angry green man.

Players are able to read the thoughts of humans they encounter and even use a device called a Holobob to take their forms. The voice actors did a great job and frankly some of the dialogue is laugh out loud funny.

What would an alien invasion game be without a flying saucer. Saucers are available and their death rays can destroy any building, vehicle or person. The saucer also has an abduction beam with can be used to pick up humans or objects.

The DNA you harvest can be spent on upgrades to your weapons and saucer. Quests become available after you beat a level so it is encouraged to go back. Also dispersed throughout the levels are probes that can be collected for DNA.

The game is a third person shooter and controls are easy to pick up. Cutscenes are rendered well and fun to watch. At the time of this release multiplayer is not an option.

This game is entertaining and fun to watch, filled with the paranoia of communism to the hilarious cliches about aliens that only the 1960's could have given us. This game is worth a look but just be careful who you call a Martian. That's enough to get you probed!
