The Xbox doesn't have alot of good motocross titles. Actually, it doesn't have any. Microsoft does have their Motocross Madness series, but so far no plans have been announced to bring the awesome PC title to the Xbox game console. Well motocross fans, don't worry. Midway Games Europe is bringing this new motocross title, Freestyle MetalX, to the Xbox.
Riding it hard, fast and anywhere, this motocross title is a totally unique offering a thrilling experience to cater the action sport and mass-market gamer with a diverse, insanely lawless freestyle motocross mayhem. Gamers can "be sick all over" as they experience firsthand the extreme thrills and spills of the first freestyle motocross videogame.
The game features expansive worlds, eight different game modes, an insane stunt system, and even mini-games. Freestyle MetalX lets players cancan and rodeo their way through vast environments as they interact with anything and everything including from skyscrapers to swimming polls. Rest assured gamers, this isn't just some "arcade" title. The game will feature a career mode where players can gain popularity and money in career mode by executing flawless maneuvers such as Bus Jumping, Wall of Death, Longest Wheelie, and more. The game will allow you to choose from 16 different riders.
FMT is totally customizable letting players create their own motocross arenas with an advanced level editor and take on creative sub-games, like riding off a cliff and turning into a human dart aimed at a giant dartboard. There are also options of custom motocross gear and unique bike models to create the ultimate experience. Upon release, the game will also feature some nice DVD content. You'll get a sneek peek at the lifestyles of real motocross sensations, and you'll also get a "behind-the-scenes" look at the making of the game. As for sound, top metal bands such as Motley Crue, Megadeath, Motorhead, and even Twisted Sister will bring their hardcore music that will shake the arena. Freestyle MetalX is scheduled to ship in June 2003 for the Xbox video game system from Microsoft. We'll have a full review once we get our hands on it.
