Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Review

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon

Game Info
Fear the ghosts, for they shall appear out of the shadows, and then you are dead! The game is based in Russia, the year is 2008, the world teeters on the brink of war, you are sent in to save Europe, from the soviet union coming back together, and taking over the whole of Europe one by one. You are an elite group of soldiers from the US Special Forces.

After you receive your objectives, you go select troops for your platoons, here you can pick 6 characters (or less) ranging through from rifleman, support, snipers or demolition, and take them into combat to complete the tasks. There are 15 missions overall, in Campaign mode. Your troops might be unworthy for the field at the beginning, but you can improve the abilities of your own basic soldiers by spending combat points earned in each mission. You can increase each soldier in one of four performance areas: marksmanship, stealth, endurance and leadership. Also there are 50 Tasks overall, asking you to test your skill levels and trying to get new things. Throughout the tasks and the campaign mode, you blast your way through cities, swamps, small towns, while destroying enemy military and enemy armor, while protecting some of your own troops at the time (NATO and POW).

The sound is great inside Ghost Recon, you can hear them call for you, and there footsteps when they're creeping up or even, when the bullets come very close to you.

They have provided substantial enemy AI. You're frequently outflanked and, if you're not careful, you can be completely overwhelmed. Part of this is a function of the placement of the enemies and the layouts of the environments. But the way the enemies respond to you is surprisingly fluid and dynamic. Although most enemies begin in the same place, they respond to your actions by moving to new areas of the map. For example, I was playing in Embassy (Mission 5) on Firefight (Kill all Enemies) and I was shooting away at a few guys in front of me, suddenly I fell straight to the ground as they had flanked me, I was trying to kill the guys up the front, but they knew I was going to die. So this proves that they have a few tactics, so you should watch your back.

Also when your completing task, remember to Save a lot as it is bad when you just have done one of your hardest missions and you back out and don’t save, I have done that many times.

In conclusion, Ghost Recon is one of my most enjoyable war games I have ever played (All Consoles and PC) I have enjoyed it a lot. It is a great experience, with Xbox Live Enabled and System Link, so get all your buddies together and buy the game and have a Small LAN it is great fun.
