AFL Live 2003 is under the sport category, it is a major sport played in Australia, it is released on all consoles, but this focusing on Xbox.
It is very easy to pick up on how to play AFL. The game itself is quite complicated and extremely fast, and this has been a challenge to previous contenders. What the developers have done is slow the game down almost imperceptibly to the untrained eye to make it playable.
What is even more impressive is that the commentary isn't facile rubbish but actually helps you understand what's going on, provided by Channel 10's Steve Quarter main and Gary Lyons. It does sound a bit like the talking clock when they're giving you the score, but it's certainly better than some of the more lame attempts we've witnessed recently.
The Xbox version will allow up to four players to participate in a match. If you're an AFL fan, you'd be well advised to keep an eye on what is shaping up to be one of the best sports titles this year.
Some say that the game was not great as it was delayed for several weeks/months. Also it was released outside the AFL season which was a let down, to some. However the game is quite a good game with all the AFL players playing in there team colors which gets into to the spirit of the game. With the teams theme songs played when they enter the field and if they win the game.
You can play yourself throughout the season and try and make it to the finals to win the premiership cup, or you can play throughout just the final, or have a quick single game. This is a fun game to play by yourself or with a few mates.
Overall the game is an enjoyable game to play.
