Pro Cast Sports Fishing is the closest thing to real fishing itself! Your starting selection of fisherman (or fisherwomen for that matter) isn’t very big at first, but as you progress through the game you unlock more characters.
The game is a bit difficult; it requires a great deal of patience to catch a fish. Good things come to those who wait. The fish are also interested in specific lures. You have to keep trying different lures to see which one the fish take a liking to. The boat is yours to control! You can actually move your own boat around.
You have four different methods of casting of. Each of which has a purpose obviously. One cast might not be as long but it will grab the fishes attention. The four different methods are used depending on the environment your in.
There are 3 different modes you can participate in.
Free Fishing.- Your free to do whatever you want. But you will only have the equipment you have unlocked from other game modes. You can choose where to fish. Choose a lure and off you go! Arcade Mode, this one’s a little bit harder. You have a time limit to catch the fish! And this time you have competition. Choose a lure and be sure to catch as many fish as possible before the time runs out.
Simulation Mode is the hardest out of the lot. This one’s like real fishing! The bigger the fish the more points you get, the more points you get the more money you get to buy equipment.
Pro Cast Sport Fishing isn’t just a game for fishing lovers. The avid gamer will also enjoy this game for its excellent competition against the computer opponents and the time it takes to get points. Pro Cast Sport Fishing is enjoyable and great fun in spare time. It also comes in handy when you can’t go fishing on those rainy days.
The games graphics are detailed right down to the bottom of the ocean, with sea-weed and other sea creatures. The sound is realistic especially when casting out and the lure hits the water. The fish seem to be a bit too smart at times and tend to ignore your lure. If you’re a gamer who enjoys a slow paced game on a rainy Sunday afternoon this is something you should look at. Otherwise, I wouldn’t highly recommend it. Overall, it’s a great game, but you won’t want to play it very much unless you’re in a mood to fish. We recommend you just keep this game on your “to rent” list.
